Senate President Godswill Akpabio has denied any connection to a planned rally in Akwa Ibom, set for April 4, 2025, which is being organized by Ubong Idemudo and a group called the Progressive Peoples’ Resolution (PPR).
In a statement issued Thursday by his Media Assistant, Jackson Udom, Akpabio condemned the rally, asserting that he had not authorized the event. He labeled the gathering as a “satanic rally,” accusing the organizers of exploiting his name for their own purposes.
Akpabio urged the people of Akwa Ibom to disregard the rally and continue with their daily routines. He also called on local police and security agencies to prevent the event from taking place, reiterating that he has no involvement with the organizers and does not support the rally.
