Ogbeh was a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, serving as PDP chairman from 2001 to 2005 and holding the position of Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development under the late President Buhari’s administration. He had also served as the Minister of Communications during the Shehu Shagari administration in the 1980s and as Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly in the late ’70s.
