The Okoni Compound in Ibom village, known for providing the land utilized for the construction of the Arochukwu Civic Centre near First Bank Arochukwu, is embarking on reclaiming its land, which Nzuko Aro built the Aro civic center upon.
In a statement release by Okoni Council of elders and in an interview granted with our correspondent, Chief Ikechi Abiara, Eze Ezi Okoni compound, highlighted the decision to withdraw the land from Nzuko Aro after numerous unsuccessful attempts to honor an agreement. The agreement stipulated that the land would be granted to Nzuko Aro on the condition of constructing a road for the compound.

Sir Engr Augustine Nwamuo Uwakwe, the secretary of council, reiterated to Aro Okeigbo Blog correspondent that there exists a documented agreement between Nzuko Aro and Okoni Compound. This agreement outlined the construction of a road for the compound by Nzuko Aro. However, despite the construction of the building years ago, no progress has been made on the promised road.
Adding to the complexity, is the Nzuko Aro in collaboration with Abia State Government directing Eze Ibom Isii, HRH Eze Dr. Kanu Nwa Kanu, not to be seen in any Aro event this festive period.

The Compound have given Nzuko Aro until 25th December, 2023 as ultimatum or actions will be taken against them.
