“Forgive Kwam1 Like The Prodigal Son” – MC Oluomo Begs Tinubu Over His Viral Airport Drama

Musiliu Akinsanya, the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), popularly known as MC Oluomo, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to forgive legendary Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, aka K1 De Ultimate, over alleged violations of aviation regulations.

The 68-year-old musician recently faced accusations from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for breaching air travel rules during his boarding of ValueJet Airlines Flight VK 201 from Abuja to Lagos. FAAN’s spokesperson, Obiageli Orah, claimed that K1 brought alcohol on board, violating the ban on such items on domestic flights, which led to a confrontation with a flight attendant.

In response, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, imposed a six-month no-fly ban on K1, restricting his domestic and international flight privileges pending further investigation.

MC Oluomo, in a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday, appealed to President Tinubu, the NCAA’s Director-General Capt. Chris Najomo, and Keyamo to show leniency towards the musician. He wrote, “I, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, President of NURTW, humbly and fervently appeal to you to exercise mercy and forgiveness towards Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1).”

Acknowledging K1’s mistakes, MC Oluomo emphasized the musician’s sincere apology and willingness to make amends. He added, “I respectfully and earnestly request that the Director-General of NCAA, Capt. Chris Najomo, and the Minister of Aviation, Barrister Festus Keyamo, consider tempering justice with mercy by lifting the ban imposed on K1.”

The plea comes as K1’s supporters, including MC Oluomo, push for a more lenient approach to the situation, citing the musician’s remorse and the potential impact of the ban on his career.
