Rivers Woman Arrested for Allegedly Mutilating Lover’s Genitals During Domestic Dispute
A 43-year-old woman named Gift has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command for allegedly biting off the tip of her lover’s penis amid a domestic dispute. The incident took place on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Bishop Okoye Street, Mile 3, Diobu, Port Harcourt.
Sources who spoke anonymously revealed that the conflict began when the victim, Sunday, allegedly demanded sex after taking sex-enhancing drugs—a request Gift refused. The argument escalated when Sunday reportedly assaulted Gift, leading her to retaliate by biting his genitals and severing the tip of his penis.
Sunday’s screams drew the attention of neighbors, who formed an angry mob and attacked Gift. The Divisional Police Officer of Nkpolu Police Division in Diobu and his team intervened to rescue her from the mob. Sunday was rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt for urgent medical treatment.
Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, confirmed the arrest and said the investigation is ongoing. “Yes, I can confirm the incident. The female suspect, aged 43, has been arrested, and inquiries are still underway,” she told reporters on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case, which has raised concerns within the local community.
