After Meeting Tinubu, Gov Soludo Reveals Next Move For Security In Anambra

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has revealed his administration’s comprehensive approach to tackling insecurity in the state, following a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, Abuja, on Tuesday, August 12.

In a statement, Soludo outlined the dual strategy his government is employing, combining both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches. “In January this year, we passed our Homeland Security Law to address insecurity from its root causes. We’ve seen positive results, as all the deadly native doctors who were deceiving our youth into criminality have fled the state,” he said.

Soludo emphasized that his administration’s focus is not only on traditional security measures but also on empowering the youth through job creation and skills development. He highlighted the success of the state’s one-year empowerment program, which has already trained and empowered 5,000 youths. Another 8,700 are set to receive significant financial support in the coming months, with the aim of creating thousands of youth millionaires within the next three years.
