The beating heart of Arochukwu reverberated with unity and purpose on the 8th of December, 2023, as the vibrant and spirited youth representing 19 villages embarked on an unprecedented tour across the expanse of the Arochukwu Kingdom. Their mission was clear: to stand as a collective and resolutely affirm their support for HRM Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei, the rightfully crowned Eze Arochukwu.

Amidst the picturesque landscape that defines our heritage-rich villages, these impassioned representatives traversed the terrains, echoing their unequivocal stance: they stand firmly behind HRM Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei’s reign, endorsing his legitimate claim to the revered throne of Arochukwu. Their unwavering support serves as a testament to their commitment to preserving the sanctity, unity, and peace of our cherished community.

In a moment charged with significance, the youth issued a firm warning against any attempts to disrupt the established peace and unity. They addressed Pastor Nwamazi Eberechukwu directly, urging a cessation of his self-identification as the Eze Aro, emphasizing that no coronation ceremony had been bestowed upon him. Their declaration echoed with clarity: HRM Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei stands as the sole and rightfully recognized Eze Arochukwu.

The announcement resonated with an invitation—a call to the entirety of Arochukwu and beyond—to partake in a grand celebration slated from the 21st to the 24th of December. This four-day extravaganza promises an immersion into the rich tapestry of our cultural heritage.

Mark your calendars, for each day is steeped in the vibrancy of Arochukwu’s traditions. The cultural display from various villages and the mesmerizing performances by different cultural troupes will showcase the kaleidoscope of our community’s customs, offering a glimpse into our storied past and promising a flourishing future.

Notably, the youth extended an open invitation to all talented individuals, irrespective of age or background, encouraging them to bring forth their skills and passions. From the 21st to the 23rd of December, these talents will take center stage, captivating audiences with their performances—a testament to Arochukwu’s diversity and creativity.

The pinnacle of this celebration culminates on the 24th at Amaikpe Square, where HRM Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei will be formally presented amidst jubilation and cultural splendor. Concurrent events will unfold at the Arochukwu Civic Centre, an embodiment of the unity that defines us.

This celebration is not merely a festivity; it stands as the singular and recognized coronation ceremony for HRM Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei. The youth’s resounding declaration solidifies their commitment to upholding the sanctity of tradition and unity within our beloved Arochukwu.

As we stand on the cusp of this grand celebration, let us embrace the richness of our heritage, celebrate unity, and honor the rightful ascension of HRM Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei—an event that echoes through the annals of our history and sets the course for a harmonious future.

This is Arochukwu—where tradition, unity, and celebration intertwine to script a legacy that endures through generations.
