A former commissioner for finance in Abia State and the immediate past Provost Abia State college of Education, Arochukwu, Dr Philips Nto has commended the Mayor Arochukwu Local Government Area, Mazi Joe Eze Aru for bringing the council to positive limelight through transformational projects.
Reacting to the commissioning of development projects embarked upon by Mazi Eze Aru in the council area last Saturday by Governor Alex Otti , the former Provost described the attainment as historic and remarkable.
Dr Nto who is currently the Director Agribusiness incubation centre, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike noted that the efforts have not only uplifted the status of the council in Abia but has opened doors for greater investment and opportunities for the Council and the people.
The former Provost pointed out that the Mayor has by his actions so far proved that his interest is founded on decisions and policies that will always guarantee the well-being of the masses and rejoined him not to relent.
“By his actions so far, Joe Eze Aru has justified the confidence I have in him as one who is selfless and believes in embarking on steps that will lift the welfare of the poor masses. He has not changed and I’m quite certain that he can never be the normal and usual politician that easily forgets his past”.
While commending Governor Otti for choosing a capable hand such as Mazi Eze Aru to pilot the affairs of the council, Dr Nto charged the Mayor to continue working in line with the policies of the new Abia initiative.
He, however called on the people of Arochukwu Local Government to continue supporting the Council administration to ensure more democracy dividends.
