The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the name and credentials of Mrs Francess Olisa Ogbonnaya, popularly known as Tabitha, as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Arochukwu State Constituency in the February 2027 Abia State House of Assembly election.
Arochukwu Blog gathered that the publication confirms her candidacy on the ADC platform ahead of the election, following months in which questions had persisted in some quarters over who the party’s actual candidate for the constituency was.
Tabitha, a journalist, previously worked with the Abia State Government between 2022 and 2023 and has been part of ADC’s structure in the state through 2026, having appeared alongside the party’s Abia State Chairman, Kalu Kalu Agu, at public engagements earlier in the year, including a protest over campaign fees imposed on candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
With the INEC publication now out, attention shifts to how the development is received across the constituency, which spans Arochukwu, Ohafia, Abam, Isu and Ututu, as the race toward the 2027 general election continues.
