In the heart of the revered Arochukwu Kingdom, a momentous event unfolded on the 22nd of November 2023, resonating with the resolute commitment to honor tradition, uphold unity, and support their newly crowned king, HRM Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei Kanu Okoro Oke. This event, hosted by the esteemed Ibom Isii kindred, marked a staunch display of allegiance to the rightful leader, affirming their loyalty to the incorruptible Eze Ibom Isii, Eze Kanu Nwa Kanu.

The ceremony served as a symbolic gesture, emphasizing their unwavering support for HRM Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei Kanu Okoro Oke, who was rightfully crowned by Eze Kanu Nwa Kanu on the 20th of October 2023. Their gathering echoed a unified voice, amplifying their determination to assist the newly crowned king in steering Arochukwu Kingdom towards positive transformations.

At the crux of their message lay a resounding vote of confidence in Eze Kanu Nwa Kanu, the Eze Ibom Isii. The Ibom Isii kindred members reaffirmed their duty and obligation to preserve the sacred customs and traditions upon which Arochukwu was founded. Their reverence for tradition was paramount as they lauded the crowning of HRM Godwin Kanu Idei, recognizing his traditional qualifications and suitability for the Eze Aro position.

However, amidst their celebration, a shadow loomed over the candidature of Nwamazi Pastor Eberechukwu Oji. The Ibom Isii kindred expressed disapproval of his candidacy, citing reasons rooted in tradition. They highlighted the unconventional aspects, including the status of his living father, his position as the second son, and his role as a senior pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Such departures from traditional norms regarding ascension to the throne raised concerns among the kindred.

Their collective warning resonated stronglyโ€”a caution against any actions that might disrupt the harmony of the Kingdom. They underscored the potential consequences of defying customary practices, invoking the disapproval of the revered Ndi Ichiee. Their steadfast stance against activities that deviate from established customs aimed to preserve the sanctity and stability of Arochukwu Kingdom.

Amidst their assurances of unwavering support for the newly crowned king, they pleaded for recognition, reminding HRM Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei Kanu Okoro Oke of their steadfast loyalty during challenging times. Their plea for acknowledgment underscored their hope for continued inclusion and consideration in the Kingdom’s governance.

Furthermore, their allegiance to Eze Kanu Nwa Kanu remained unwavering despite perceived government propaganda. They reinforced their stance on rightful leadership, acknowledging Eze Ibom Isii’s adherence to the established norms and decisions made in accordance with the Kingdom’s traditions.

In a unanimous demonstration of solidarity and fidelity to tradition, the Ibom Isii kindred resolved not to participate in any alternative crowning activities, aligning themselves exclusively with the legitimately crowned king, HRM Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei Kanu Okoro Oke. Their unequivocal stand was a pledge to maintain the sanctity of the ascension process and deter any attempts to disrupt the established order.

As they concluded their ceremony, a palpable sense of unity and commitment lingeredโ€”a testa
ment to their unwavering dedication to safeguarding the customs and traditions of Arochukwu Kingdom. The message was clear: tradition upheld, unity preserved, and steadfast support pledged to their rightful king and the esteemed Eze Ibom Isii.

This ceremony stands as a beacon of hopeโ€”a reminder that amidst challenges and controversies, the pillars of tradition and unity remain unshakable in the Arochukwu Kingdom.
