A shocking incident has unsettled the Aji community in Enugu-Ezike, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, as a woman allegedly killed her younger sister and attempted to murder her mother and niece.
According to reports, the suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, claimed she was possessed by an evil spirit, which led her to commit the horrific act. Using a machete, she fatally attacked her younger sister and proceeded to assault her mother and her deceased sister’s child.
The disturbing event gained public attention after Enugu-based media personality, Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, shared a video of the suspect on Facebook on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. In the viral footage, the woman reiterated her claim of being influenced by supernatural forces.
Meanwhile, the surviving victims were rushed to Bishop Shanahan Hospital in Nsukka, where they are currently receiving medical attention and fighting for their lives. Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the incident as investigations continue.
