The management and students of Mary Slessor Primary School in Arochukwu have reason to celebrate and express their gratitude to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who represents Abia North in the National Assembly, for his recent act of generosity toward the school. Thanks to the former Governor of Abia State and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on privatization, the school can now proudly showcase a new classroom block.
Upon being made aware of the dilapidated state and challenging learning conditions faced by the students, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu took immediate action and mobilized a contractor to commence the construction of the new classroom block.
Our investigation revealed that Mazi Iheanyi Inyama (Ebony), a concerned member of the Aro community, had brought the deplorable condition of the school to the senator’s attention. Remarkably, within just one month of documentation and assessment, construction work began.
A recent visit to the school confirmed that the project has been successfully completed, providing the students with a much-improved learning environment.
