Former Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu, has drawn sharp reactions online following a post shared on 15 September, suggesting that President Bola Tinubu and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu would win the 2027 elections regardless of how people vote.
In the post, Uchendu wrote, “If you like vote, Tinubu/ Orji Uzor Kalu will win 🏆.”
The post was accompanied by a photograph of a campaign bus branded “RE-ELECT OUK” with images of President Tinubu and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, alongside the APC logo and the message “Vote APC // Vote Wisely.”
Arochukwu Blog gathered that the post drew 48 reactions, 82 comments and was shared 4 times.
Reactions to the post were largely critical. Onuka Kalu Arua commented, “Imagining what’s coming from a civilized person who is staying abroad in a civilized county… Ur actually a disappointment. Of a truth the heart of man is evil….”
Chukssy Udy-Kay wrote, “In as much as everyone has their opinion on every issue politically but this one sounds like a threat and an exposure that no matter how the people votes, your party will rig it in their favour. From my desk I say: Nigerians are now more aware of the possibilities in the coming elections and are ready. We will vote and will defend our votes by all means nec… [see more].”
Chris Jesuitism Chris commented, “So sad that this is coming from a Honourable who should know better that people has the right to vote their choices and their votes count at the end of the day. But it’s fine… We are watching and taking notes.”

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, a former Governor of Abia State, has represented Abia North Senatorial District in the Senate since 2019 and secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for re-election in May 2026.
