The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the President Bola Tinubu-led government of attempting to destabilize the party. In a statement made during Sunday Politics, ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi criticized the government for allegedly sowing discord within the party, following similar tactics used to create divisions among other political groups.
Abdullahi accused the government of trying to replicate this strategy within the ADC, aiming to weaken its unity. He stated that the government’s interference threatens the party’s cohesion and its political future.
In the video shared on the program, Abdullahi outlined the party’s concerns about these actions, stressing that the ADC would not allow the government’s disruptive tactics to succeed.
The allegations come amid ongoing discussions about the ADC’s role in the upcoming 2027 elections and its potential to challenge the ruling APC.
